The British filmmaker was the man behind ‘Slumdog Millionaire’, ’28 Days Later’, ‘Sunshine’ and ‘Trainspotting’.

‘Slumdog Millionaire’ earned him the Academy Award for Best Director.

Boyle was hired as the Artistic Director for the London Olympic Games Opening Ceremony and put together the 86 songs you heard at the opening ceremony with help from Underworld. Underworld’s ‘Born Slippy’ featured in Boyle 1996 movie ‘Trainspotting’ and was also placed in the Opening Ceremony today.

Sir Paul McCartney concluded the opening ceremony with ‘The End’ and ‘Hey Jude’.

Work Continues On Danny Boyle’s Sex Pistols ‘Pistols’

Principal photography has begun in London on Pistol, the six-episode FX limited series about the legendary Sex Pistol guitarist Steve Jones, based on his memoir Lonely Boy: Tales from a Sex Pistol.
