91 Year Old Charles Asnavour To Play Royal Albert Hall

Arguably the most important French singer songwriter of all time, the legendary Charles Aznavour returns to London’s Royal Albert Hall on November 3rd 2015.

Due to overwhelming demand, following two sold out shows he will be returning to the legendary venue for one last time ‘ his November concert being the third time he has played at the Royal Albert Hall in 18 months. As the oldest artist to headline the Royal Albert Hall, 91-year-old Aznavour will present his greatest hits taken from a staggering collection of 294 albums.

The legendary French chanson star is considered to be one of the greatest singer-songwriters of all time and enjoyed major success in the UK with his No.1 single She, which featured in the blockbuster film Notting Hill. He has had further hits with The Old Fashioned Way and Yesterday When I Was Young.

Aznavour said, ‘My first concert in London was at the Albert Hall in 1966! Since then it has always been a great pleasure to perform in London, and to come back on November 3rd and meets all my fans again, is going to be a real joy’.

Having enjoyed a career spanning over 70 years, Aznavour continues to regularly tour; in 2014 over 100 concerts took place where he still performs with vigor and sheer charisma. Named the world’s greatest entertainer in a CNN poll, his songs have influenced some of the most successful artists of all time; Elton John, Sammy Davis Jr, Fred Astaire and Celine Dion are just few names to have recorded his beloved songs.
