Adam Horovitz thanks well-wishers and Red Hot Chili Peppers, Fun, and more pay tribute to fallen Beastie Boy Adam Yauch.

Musicians, fans, and celebrities of every stripe have been paying tribute to Beastie Boy Adam Yauch AKA MCA following his passing on Saturday.

Over the weekend bands from Coldplay to Red Hot Chili Peppers to younguns Fun have performed Beastie Boys songs onstage, and the tweets have been seemingly endless.

Now bandmate Adam Horovitz, AKA Ad-Rock, has popped up a brief note of appreciation to the global outpouring of love.

He wrote: “as you can imagine, shit is just fkd up right now. but i wanna say thank you to all our friends and family (which are kinda one in the same) for all the love and support. i’m glad to know that all the love that Yauch has put out into the world is coming right back at him. thank you.”
