Alice Cooper Gets An Adelaide Upgrade

Alice Cooper ‘Ol’ Black Eyes Is Back’ tour has been given an upgrade in Adelaide with the show moving from the AEC Theatre to the Adelaide Entertainment Centre Arena.

Fans with tickets already do not have to do anything. All pre-purchased ticket(s) remain valid for the relocated performance and do not need to be exchanged. Ticket holders can present their existing ticket(s) at the venue on the event date.

Alice is touring Australia with Wayne Kramer’s MC50 marking the 50th anniversary of the iconic Detroit punks MC5. MC50 features Soundgarden’s Kim Thayil on guitar.

Alice is playing some rare songs on this tour. ‘Raped and Freezin’ is a rarely played song until now from the 1973 ‘Billion Dollar Babies’ album. Alice did perform the song at his Crown Casino show in Melbourne in 2008. It was included in the 2007 Psychodrama tour but apart from a handful of performances in 2001 it was absent from the setlist since 1973.

‘Roses of White Lace’ was added to this tour after being MIA since 1988. You have to go back to 1974 for the last Alice performance of ‘My Stars’ from the ‘School’s Out’ album. ‘Teenage Frankenstein’ got a run as a new song between 1986 and 1988, resurfaced foe 23 performances in 2001 and is back to end the set for 2019.

James Taylor Farewells Australia With Final Tour (Melbourne Review)

I could go to a James Taylor show just for the stories. The man is a part of music history and is still around to tell the tales of how it all began. Like, for instance, being the first artist signed to Apple Records. James “auditioned” for Apple with his song ‘Something In The Way She Moves’. "Paul went away and started the label and George went away and wrote the song”, he said.
