Annette, who found fan fame as a Disney Mouseketeer in 1955 at age 13, has died at age 70.

Annette Funicello had been battled multiple sclerosis since 1987. Her diagnosis in the late 70s forced an early withdrawal from the industry she started in 33 years prior.

During her career Annette had more than a dozen singles including ‘Tall Paul’ (#7, 1959) and ‘Pineapple Princess’ (#11, 1960). Paul Anka wrote the song ‘Puppy Love’ about her.

Her movies included ‘The Shaggy Dog’ (1959), ‘Babes In Toyland’ (1961), ‘Pajama Party’ (1964) and ‘Back To The Beach’ (1987).
