Aretha Franklin has covered Adele’s ‘Rolling In The Deep’ and added a layer of Marvin Gaye’s ‘Ain’t No Mountain High Enough’ for her new album
‘Aretha Franklin Sings the Great Diva Classics’.

At age 72, the Queen of Soul is the same age as her contemporary Barbra Streisand who landed a number one album in the USA and Australia this week and is also covered on Aretha’s album.

Aretha was born on March 25, 1942, Barbra on April 24, 1942. This week Barbra became the oldest person ever to debut with a number one album in Australia. Done right Aretha could beat that record within a month.

Aretha Franklin Sings the Great Diva Classics’ was project managed by record executive and Arista Records founder Clive Davies with production from from André 3000, Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds, Harvey Mason Jr., Terry Hunter and Eric Kupper.
