The 2012 Art of Music dinner held in Sydney last Saturday raised $270,000 for the Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy.

The night featured Megan Washington, Mental as Anything featuring Reg Mombassa, Peter O’Doherty, Martin Plaza and Neil Finn on drums. There was even an impromptu performance of This is Australia by GANGgajang’s Mark Callaghan with Pete O’Doherty, Neil Finn and Rai Thistlethwayte.

Guests on the night included Jenny Morris, Iva Davies, Amanda Brown (The Go Betweens), Jonathan Zwartz, Bryan Brown, George Gregan, Josh Pyke and Les Gock as well as Lucy Culliton, Nicholas Harding, Euan Macleod, Guy Maestri, James Powditch, Ben Quilty, Luke Sciberras, Alexander Seton, Peter Sharp and Amanda Marburg.

The Ben Quilty painting of the Largs Pier Hotel was the highest selling artwork of the evening. It sold for $40,000.
