Birds of Tokyo’s fifth album ‘Brace’ is outselling Bon Jovi’s 13th ‘This House Is Not For Sale’ in first day sales in Australia.

Birds Of Tokyo have been relentless recording in Australia since 2007 and releasing albums in 2007, 2008, 2010, 2013 and 2016.

While the first album ‘Day One’ went relatively unnoticed, peaking at no 88, 2008’s ‘Universe’ peaked at 3, 2010’s ‘Birds of Tokyo’ peaked at no 2 and 2013’s ‘March Fires’ was their first no 1 album.

The Bon Jovi album is the first to credit Phil X as lead guitarist, officially replacing Richie Sambora and also Hugh McDonald as bass player, although he has been with the band since 1994, replacing original bass player Alec John Such after ‘Crossroads’.
