After waiting for five weeks at No.2, the Camila Cabello and Young Thug slow-salsa track “Havana” climbs to the top of the ARIA Singles Chart, matching its current peak in England, Ireland and Canada.

“Havana” becomes the 1068th No.1 Single in Australia (1940 to 2017) and the 503rd for ARIA (1983 to 2017), plus the 11th chart-topping song of 2017, whilst its also the first to feature the word ‘Havana’ and the 42nd No.1 for the Epic record label and second this year after the DJ Khaled track “I’m the One” hit the top for two weeks in mid-May.

This is the 96th No.1 song by an American Female artist and the 409th by an American act, and the 687th song to hit the top by an American performer (solo, duo or group) and the fifth by an American artist in 2017 after DJ Khaled, Pink, Taylor Swift and Post Malone. The song “Havana” loses its No.1 spot on the digital charts and is at No.2 on both the digi and streaming charts for this week.

So after seven weeks at the top of the charts the Post Malone and 21 Savage track “Rockstar” slips down one spot to No.2 (#1 streamed still, #4 digital), but he does have two songs within the Top 5 this week, as his older released and newest chart entry in “I Fall Apart” is up two places to a new peak of No.4. In between the two Post’s and returning to its former peak of No.3 for a fourth broken week is the Ed Sheeran track “Perfect”, which is the current No.1 selling digital track and this song matches his “÷ (Divide)” position over on the albums chart.

There are three acts with two songs apiece within the Top 10 this week, and next is Khalid who is stable at No.5 with “Young, Dumb & Broke”, whilst his appearance on the Marshmello track “Silence” is up two places to a new peak of No.7, and Marshmello is the third act with a second Top 10 this week, as his teaming with Selena Gomez on “Wolves” is up four spots to a new peak of No.9, giving him his second Top 10 in Australia and it becomes the fourth Top 10 in Australia for Selena and now her second highest charted after “It Ain’t Me” with Kygo hit No.4 in March of this year.

Last weeks new-album-entry-surge for Sam Smith and “Too Good at Goodbyes” is over as the song is back down three places to No.6, whilst Maroon 5 with SZA and “What Lovers Do” moves down one spot to No.8 after it peaked at No.7 last week. Debuting at No.10 this week is the first taste from the forthcoming Eminem album “Revival” (no date known as yet); it’s “Walk on Water” and features guest vocals by Beyonce, and by entering at No.10 it gives him his eighteenth Top 10 here and it also becomes the thirteenth solo Top 10 entry for Beyonce too.
