Sydney DJ Alexandra Sholler (aka Alison Wonderland) has the number one Dance/Electronica album in the USA this week with ‘Awake’.

It what is an incredibly low number to score a US number one, ‘Awake’ sold just 4,000 albums from traditional sales and then was credited a further 3000 sales for streams.

In Australia last week, ‘Awake’ debuted at no 7 with sales of 2,134, again which were mainly traditional sales, 631 from downloads and just 369 for streams. The remaining sales were physical.

Alexander is a classically trained musician, specialising in cello. She has been a cellist for the Sydney Youth Opera as well as a bass player in some indie bands in Sydney.

As Alison Wonderland she has remixed the Sam Sparro song ‘I Wish I Never Met You’ as well as songs form Justin Bieber, Dua Lipa, Little Dragon, 360 and Ladyhawke.
