Sydney act Cosmo’s Midnight is a last minute no-show for SXSW in Texas next week due to via issues.
In a Facebook post Cosmo’s Midnight said:
“Hey everyone, sad and important news here. With only 4 days left until when we were due to be at SXSW for our first US show we regret to announce that we are having to cancel our entire US tour… Due to unforeseeable visa issues one of us has been refused entry to America until a date where both the visa’s have been processed. We planned this very far ahead applying as early as November last year to make this tour happen so it is pretty devastating for us to bring you this news.
“As we are both heavily involved in the live show it makes no sense for only one of us to go and we are so sad to be bringing this news as we were so excited to be finally bringing our music to you all and playing alongside our good friend Wave Racer. We want to offer our apologies to all our fans that were looking forward to seeing us for the first time and we are so sorry to have let you guys down. We’d also like to apologise to our agents at APA and all the promoters involved in the booking of this tour. But don’t worry! We WILL be coming instead in your summer and are already planning a tour for later in the year.”
Cosmo’s Midnight had no been scheduled to perform at any of the official Australia functions at SXSW.
