“I’m excited to announce ill be joining The Voice Australia this season as co-mentor to Joel Madden’s team!,” he said in a Facebook post.

It is good timing for Ben who will release his new album ‘Ayahuasca’ in May.

‘Ayahuasca’, Ben’s 9th solo album, was made possible with thanks to a crowdfunding project through PledgeMusic.

PledgeMusic this week announced the appointment of former Shock Records boss Scot Crawford as general manger of the Australian and New Zealand operation for PledgeMusic.

In other The Voice news, OneRepbulic’s Ryan Tedder will mentor for Delta Goodrem’s team, Jessica Mauboy will mentor for Ricky Martin’s team and Sneaky Sound System’s Connie Mitchell will mentor for Seal’s team.

Production for season two of The Voice will begin in Sydney in coming weeks.
