Beyonce has a new record to her name. She is the first female artist to have five number one albums with her first five albums.

The Beyonce album topped the Billboard chart this week with sales of 617,000. That is also her best sales week ever, beating the first week sales of ‘B’Day’ with 541,000 sales in 2006 according to Nielsen SoundScan.

Keith Caulfield of Billboard says that ‘Beyonce’ the album “follows the chart-topping “Dangerously In Love” (2003), “B’Day” (2006), “I Am… Sasha Fierce” (2008) and “4” (2011). All five of her albums also debuted at No. 1”.

He also reports that the only two other acts to have five number one albums with their first five albums were DMX and the Kingston Trio.
