Melbourne’s own Blackchords have a novel idea of how to raise money for a record – get the fans to help out!
The band has already reached their $5000 goal, but why stop there? There is still a few days remaining and with your help they could get better mastering, or an extra day in the studio, or some floosies to celebrate the end of the recording process.
Here’s the deal:
Donate $15+ and you’ll get a digital download of the album before it’s released.
As you donate more money, the band will throw in more and more things, until you get to $1000. At that point you get a signed acoustic guitar a CD, digital download, signed poster, a multimedia DVD, your name on the CD booklet and your name +1 on the door for the whole of 2012.
If you want to donate, you can do so here.
Don’t know the band? Well you should. They’ve been raved about both here and in the UK for a fair chunk of 2010 and early 2011. They have fast built up a fan base with their easy going folk music.
