Melbourne’s Brunswick Music Festival has scored the revered Blind Boys of Alabama for 2020.

The original Blind Boys of Alabama date back to 1939. The first album for The Blind Boys of Alabama ‘I Can See Everybody’s Mother But Mine’ was released in 1948.

All six founding members have now passed. Clarence Fountain was the last surviving original member. He died in 2018.

“Brunswick Music Festival continues to bring the best international and local musicians to the suburb. Proudly produced and presented by Moreland City Council, the exciting annual event draws artists and venues together with residents and visitors for two special weeks of shows and events”, says Councillor Natalie Abboud, Moreland City Council Mayor.

Hand Habits and Kevin Moreby will also perform headline shows.
