Bluesfest will announce the first round of artists next Tuesday, August 27.

The August announcement will be the earliest Bluesfest has ever revealed a line-up and as it’s the 25th anniversary, the announcement is expected to be big.

The 2013 Bluesfest line-up was without question the greatest line-up of artists ever gathered for a music festival in Australia. 2013 featured Paul Simon, Robert Plant, Santana, Steve Miller Band, Ben Harper, Iggy & he Stooges, Wilco, Counting Crows, Jason Mraz, Rodriguez, Bonnie Raitt, The Lumineers, Chris Isaak, Zac Brown Band, Rufus Wainwright, Mavis Staples, Allen Toussaint and more.

The festival won the Gold Award for Business Excellence in the category of Major Festivals and Events in the North Coast Tourism Awards this month and is listed as a finalist for the NSW State Awards to be announced in November.

Bluesfest 2014 dates are Thursday April 17 to Monday April 21. The festival is held at Tyagarah Tea Tree farm at Byron Bay.
