Bonnie Anderson is your new Neighbour.

23-year old pop star Bonnie Anderson will soon be known as Beatrix ‘Bea’ Nilsson in the Australian super-soap.

The acting role is something new for Bonnie who remarkably for the past 10 years has been known across Australia as a singer.

The name Bonnie Anderson was first heard with her debut at 12 on Australia’s Got Talent. Bonnie won Season One of the show in 2007 with judges Dannii Minogue, Tom Burlinson and Red Symons.

In 2013 Bonnie released her debut single ‘Raise The Bar’.

The follow-up ‘Blackout’ reached no 19 on the ARIA chart and generated over 1 million views on YouTube.

Neighbours airs on over 60 countries around the world. It was the show that gave the world Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan. When their characters Charlene and Scott married, the episode generated 19.6 million viewers in the UK alone (That is roughly one in four people).

The show has also generated a lot of cameo appearances, especially from visiting UK artists. People who have had cameos on Neighbours include Ed Sheeran, Emma Bunton, Matt Lucas and David Walliams, Lily Allen, Andre Rieu, Chris Lowe of Pet Shop Boys and Paula Abdul.
