Bonnie Raitt will return with a brand new album called ‘Slipstream’ in April. It will be her first album since ‘Souls Alike’ in 2005.

‘Slipstream’ will be the 16th studio album from Bonnie who released her first self-titled album in 1971.

In between these two records, Bonnie’s parents and her brother passed away. Her dad was famous Broadway star John Raitt. He was the star of Carousel.

‘Slipstream’ will be the first album for the 62-year old singer songwriter on her own label Redwing Records. Four of the tracks were produced by Joe Henry.

The album includes a couple of obscure Bob Dylan covers ‘Million Miles’ and ‘Standing In The Doorway’ and Loudon Wainwright III’s ‘You Can’t Fail Me Now’.

The full tracklisting is:

Track List: 1. Used to Rule the World 2. Right Down the Line 3. Million Miles 4. You Can’t Fail Me Now 5. Down To You 6. Take My Love With You 7. Not Cause I Wanted To 8. Ain’t Gonna Let You Go 9. Marriage Made in Hollywood 10. Split Decision 11. Standing in the Doorway 12. God Only Knows
