Charles Jenkins sets up a round of ‘When I Was On The Moon’ live dates

Melbourne singer songwriter Charles Jenkins will perform a series of dates in Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland over the coming months to introduce songs from his new album ‘When I Was On The Moon’.

‘When I Was On The Moon’ is literally a home-made album. Charles recorded every song in his spare room in less than a week in December 2018 using one mic and one guitar. It was mixed by Colin Wynne at 30 Mill Studios in January 2019.

Friday 19th July — The Gov, Adelaide

Charles also has an Icecream Hands show on 18 May at the caravan Club to mark the 20th anniversary of Sweeter Than The Radio.

Charles Jenkins has 15 albums to his name. His sixth solo album ‘Too Much Water In The Boat’ earned him The Age/Music Victoria award for Best Folk/Roots Album in 2014.

Charles Jenkins teaches songwriting and lyric writing at the University Of Tasmania and JMC and is a guest songwriting lecturer at Collarts, AIM, Melbourne Polytechnic and Southern Cross University. For the last 10 years, he has run one-on-one and group songwriting workshops and performance nights, mentoring young or inexperienced Victorian songwriters, in conjunction with APRA/AMCOS and The Push, CreativeVictoria and The Australian Council for the Arts with the program Push Songs.
