Chicago are recording their next album one song at a time and releasing each song as it is finished. When there are enough songs for an album, the physical disc will be released.

The legendary band Chicago formed in 1967 and more than 45 years later are using today’s technology to reach their fans. They have developed a new recording system known as ‘The Rig’. The portal studio travels with the band. The single was recorded in The Rig in Nashville and Cleveland, mostly in hotel rooms.

Chicago released this video of the recording of the song from a Nashville hotel room to show you how it was done.

This week Chicago released their new song ‘Somethin’ Comin’, I Know’. Founder Robert Lamm wrote the song with America’s Gerry Beckley.

Chicago released ‘Somethin’ Comin’, I Know’ through iTunes this week. As each song is finished it will be released and eventually make up the physical album.
