PPCA is the Phonographic Performance Company of Australia Ltd. The national, non-profit organisation represents the interests of record companies and Australian recording artists. The company provides blanket licenses that allow music to be played freely and without breach of copyright.

The new PPCA Patrons will drive the awareness of PPCA in the music industry by speaking directly with registered artists, record labels and PPCA licensees and representing PPCA at industry functions.

PPCA CEO Dan Rosen launched the program this week in Sydney. “It is an honour to have such well-respected industry figures join PPCA as Patrons and a credit to the good work PPCA does in supporting our industry,” Dan said in a statement.

“Our new representatives have each achieved a high level of professional success. Clare is an ARIA Award-winning recording artist, songwriter and radio host, while Tim manages his own record label, has released eight albums and received multiple award nominations, from both his peers and fans. We look forward to working closely with our Patrons, to engage further with artists, managers, licensors and licensees.”

PPCA Chairman George Ash added, “I am pleased to announce the launch of the PPCA Patron Program. We are fortunate to have such talented, enthusiastic and passionate advocates that are supportive of the good work PPCA does for the Australian music community. I look forward to working closely with Clare and Tim in the future.”
