Dan Sultan Reveals New Song ‘Magnetic’

by Paul Cashmere on October 4, 2016

in News

Dan Sultan has teased his upcoming album with a stunning video that was two months in the making.

The ‘Magnetic’ Dan Sultan recruited the services of Dropbear. Dropbear then took two months to create 60 3D prints and 2,700 images to make the head and face scan of Sultan’s face.

Photos were taken at various angles and digitally stitched together to create a 3D model.

“We made a 30cm high bust of Dan with a movable head and replaceable mouth and eyepieces so we could animate the sculpture to look like he was singing,” Dropbear said.

Dan Sultan Magnetic Tour Dates

November 6, Fremantle, Fremantle Festival
November 9, Brisbane, The Triffid
November 10, Adelaide, Fat Controller
November 13, Melbourne, 170 Russell
November 19, Sydney, Manning Bar
