Daniel Johns of Silverchair is working on his first solo record.
A post at the Silverchair Facebook page reads, “Daniel’s been busy in the studio of late and we’re excited to now be able to share what he’s been up to with you”.
As for the solo record the post tells fans, “First up is the collaboration with 360 on his new single ‘Impossible,’ which will be available from tomorrow morning at 8am.
“Daniel’s own album will follow later in the year … so stay tuned for further details”.
Johns recorded five albums with Silverchair. The most recent was Young Modern’ in 2007.
He also released the side-project album ‘The Dissociatives’ by The Dissociatives with Paul Mac in 2004.
