Dave Davies’ triumphant two-night stand last November at New York’s City Winery is the basis for his new album Rippin’ Up New York City: Live at the City Winery.
Culled from the two performances, the new album will be released on September 4 via Sony/RED. The shows mixed favorites from the Kinks with songs from Davies’ solo career and a couple of new pieces.
Davies said “I’m very excited about the live album and the band sounds great. My son Simon did a great job helping me with the production. I look forward to seeing you all on the road this fall.”
