David Bowie’s Final RCA Albums Collected For Third Box Set

Between 1977 and 1982, David Bowie found himself experimenting more and more with his music.

Starting with Low, the influence of Bowie’s new home in Germany could be heard throughout his Berlin Trilogy which also included Heroes and Lodger. He followed with his final RCA album, Scary Monsters and Super Creeps which was recognized as one of his few albums that received critical acclaim and commercial success.

Those four albums, plus the live set, Stage (1978), are being collected in the third box set spanning Bowie’s career, A New Career in a New Town (1977-1982), out on September 29 via Rhino/Parlophone.

The 11-CD or 13-LP box sets not only include the five albums, but a wealth of bonus material:
An EP saluting the 40th anniversary of Heroes which includes four different versions of the song.
The original and a reworked version of Stage that returns the show to its original running order along with unreleased bonus versions of two songs.
The original version of Lodger along with the 2017 Tony Visconti mix of the album.
A nineteen-song rarities album, Re:Call 3 with rarities from the era.
The vinyl version of the album will see the original version of Stage pressed in yellow vinyl.

A book is also included with rare photos and notes and discographical information from Tony Visconti.
