The Dead Daisies have released their third single ‘It’s Gonna Take Time’ and will start talking up the band on Australian television this week.

‘It’s Gonna Take Time’ is “a personal view on the world we live in today,” says lead singer and co-founder Jon Stevens.

According to Jon, “we’re all running around on this planet consuming everything in our path. There are so many distractions, that the simple things in life, we don’t seem to have time for anymore? Is it just me? Everyone seems to be in a rush nowadays. This song is about stopping for a minute and identifying what is really important in your life! Simple really, but hard to do in this day and age! I hope whoever hears this song, will leave all their other distractions at the door, turn up the volume and Rock Out!”

Stevens started The Dead Daisies with former Red Phoenix, Mink guitarist David Lowy who also doubles as the band’s aerial chauffeur. Lowy is a licensed and in between cities and countries flies the plane. Richard Fortus hitched a ride with Lowy out of New York to Australia over this past weekend.

Fortus is the next longest serving member of the band. He is also the guitarist in Guns N’ Roses. Dizzy Reed of Gun N’ Roses plays keyboards for The Dead Daisies, Macro Mendoza from Black Star Riders/Thin Lizzy is back with the band after The Stones bass player Darryl Jones filled in for him on the last tour. John Tempesta, drummer for The Cult is the newest member of the band.

For the first time ever, The Dead Daisies will perform club and pub dates across Australia, including A Day On The Green.
