Dream Theater To Tour Australia

Dream Theater will return to Australia in October for shows in Sydney and Melbourne.

Founding members John Petrucci and John Myung formed as Majesty in 1985, eventually settling on the names Dream Theater the following year.

Dream Theater released their debut album ‘When Dream and Day Unite’ in 1989 but it wasn’t until ‘Images and Words’ when they made the US album chart at no 61.

‘Awake’ (1994) peaked at 32 in the USA

It took until the 9th album ‘Systematic Chaos’ in 2007 for Dream Theater to have their first Top 20 Billboard album.

24 years after they began in 2009 they got even bigger when ‘Black Clouds and Silver Linings’ reached no 6 in America, ‘A Dramatic Turn of Events’ (2011) went to no 8 and ‘Dream Theater’ (2013) reached no 7.

James Taylor Farewells Australia With Final Tour (Melbourne Review)

I could go to a James Taylor show just for the stories. The man is a part of music history and is still around to tell the tales of how it all began. Like, for instance, being the first artist signed to Apple Records. James “auditioned” for Apple with his song ‘Something In The Way She Moves’. "Paul went away and started the label and George went away and wrote the song”, he said.
