Brisbane duo DZ Deathrays have downed tools on their second album and christened the work ‘Black Rat’.

‘Black Rat’s started with songwriting sessions in Yass, NSW. Shane Parsons and Simon Ridley aka DZ Deathrays then went home to Brisbane to record the demos and then down to the Central Coast to record the album at The Grove Studios.

The ‘Black Rat’ album has been given May 2, 2014 as the release date. The single ‘Gina Works At Hearts’ is out now.

Next stop is America with DZ Deathrays one of 58 Aussie acts heading to showcase at SXSW. In April they will head to the UK.
