Ed Sheeran has confirmed immediate shows on his upcoming world tour have had to be cancelled due to an arm injury but the Australia days are so far unaffected.

In a Facebook post, Ed updated fans saying, “A visit to my doctors confirmed fractures in my right wrist and left elbow that will leave me unable to perform live concerts for the immediate future. Sadly, this means that the following shows will not be able to go ahead as planned: Taipei, Osaka, Seoul, Tokyo and Hong Kong. I’m waiting to see how the healing progresses before we have to decide on shows beyond that. Please stay tuned for more details. PS – Ed isn’t typing this as he has both arms casted/bandaged”.

Frontier Touring, Sheeran’s Australian promoters say, “As the Australia and New Zealand leg of Ed Sheeran’s tour does not commence until March 2018, we have no reason to believe that the shows here will be affected.

“We’re sure by March Ed will be fighting fit and incredibly excited about having the use of both his arms again. Rest up Ed – no more bicycles for you!”

Ed Sheeran’s Australian tour will begin in Perth on March 2.
