Elvis Costello & The Imposters and Boz Scaggs have joined the line-up for the Deni Blues & Roots Festival in Deniliquin in April.

The Elvis Costello addition is a big win for the festival as he won’t be performing in Melbourne on this tour. :It’s a huge coup to have Elvis Costello and The Imposters in Deni especially as they’re not appearing in Melbourne,” said promoter Michael Chugg. “Along with John Mayer and The Doobie Brothers, it’s going to be a great Easter Weekend!”

Michael Franti & Spearhead, Steve Earle & The Dukes, Grace Potter & The Nocturnals, The Wailers, Soul Rebels, Neil Murray and Harry Hookey as well as Peter McWhirter, Jackson Firebird, Owen Campbell, Shaun Kirk, Joel Sulman, Michael Gorham and Frank Macias have also joined the line-up.

Previously announced acts are John Mayer, Dr John & The Nite Trippers, The Doobie Brothers, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros,
Gary Clark Jr, Russell Morris, Jasmine Rae and
Cash Savage and the Last Drinks.

The first Deni Blues & Roots Festival launched this year and was a great success for the southern New South Wales region attracting music fans into Deniliquin from all over Victoria as well as South Australia, Tasmania and the A.C.T..

Minister for Tourism and Major Events, George Souris said, “The NSW Government is pleased to support the Deni Blues & Roots Festival, which last year attracted many visitors to the region, and contributed more than $1 million to the local economy.

The 2014 Deni Blues & Roots Festival now has the biggest international line-up ever put together for regional Australia. “We now have another sensational international and local line-up headed to Deniliquin at Easter for two days of the best live music you could hope for,” said promoter Rob Potts. “With the weather at its best for the year over Easter, it all adds up to a music lover’s paradise – two massive stages, great camping facilities, plenty of grass and room to spread out and only three hours from Melbourne. We’re really excited to be back for year number two of the Deni Blues and Roots Festival.”

The Deni Blues & Roots Festival will be held on April 19 and 20 in Deniliquin, New South Wales.
