The Eminem ‘The Marshall Mathers LP2’ vs Arcade Fire ‘Reflektor’ battle on the Australian album chart this week turned into a one-horse race with Eminem ending up selling three times more albums than Arcade Fire.
Eminem’s ‘The MMLP2’ generated 24,521 sales to Arcade Fire’s ‘Reflektor’ with 18,362 sales.
Katy Perry held ground with 18,382 sales of ‘Prism’ in its second week which on nearly any other week this year would have been strong enough to maintain the top spot.
The other two top 10 debut albums this week were by Avril Lavigne ‘Avril Lavigne’ at 7 with 2829 sales and Andre Rieu ‘Andre Rieu Celebrates Abba/Music of the Night’ at 10 with 2188 sales.
