Gallagher Promises “Bang On” Songs For Next Beady Eye Album

Liam Gallagher has said that the songs on the as-yet-untitled second Beady Eye album will be “a lot better” and “absolutely bang on”.

Speaking to the BBC on Saturday shortly before hitting the stage in support of the newly reformed Stone Roses in Manchester, Gallagher said “[The new album is] sounding good. We’ve got a bit more writing to do, but we’ll go in and record some time this year. If Stone Roses and Beady Eye both release an album next year, everything will be alright.”

“The first album came straight off the back of Oasis splitting up and we just wanted to be in a band again, so we just went straight in and did it,” he added. “This time, we’re taking our time a bit. We’re not worried with having to be out there, we’ll be there when the songs are absolutely bang on.”

“The songs are a lot better on this album. They have to be.”

Beady Eye’s first album Different Gear, Still Speeding was released in 2009 shortly after the demise of Oasis – of whom this band was formed from the ashes of.

Last week was the first time Beady Eye had decided to revisit their old band’s songs, playing Morning Glory and Rock ‘n’ Roll Star. Read the report here.
