The late-Gerry Rafferty will be honored in his hometown of Paisley, Scotland this April as part of the Bring It On Home festival.

The event is being organized by Rafferty’s daughter, Martha, and former Steeler’s Wheel bandmate Rab Noakes and will be held from April 11 to April 16, the date of a concert honoring the singer.

The April 16 event is being held on what would have been his 67th birthday. Artists announced, so far, for the event include Midge Ure (Ultravox), Hamish Stuart (Average White Band), Eddi Reader, Roddy Hart, Barbara Dickinson and the Royal Scott National Orchestra.

Surrounding the week-long event will be a two month exhibition on Rafferty’s career that runs from March 7 to May 9. Included in the exhibition are such items as the original written lyrics for Baker Street, album artwork and the singer’s guitars.

Martha Rafferty said of the event “I’m looking forward to marking what would have been his 67th birthday with a great bunch of musicians. Breathing new life into his songs is always a pleasure. It’s also fantastic to be able to stage this festival in Paisley. His hometown meant a lot to him and inspired much of his work. I’m sure he would be delighted to be able to help shine the spotlight on the town.”
