APRA AMCOS has announced the 2017 Professional Development Awards with Ainslie Wills, Julia Jacklin and Gordi sharing in the $135,000 cash prize pool.

APRA awards the PDSs every two years. Over 1000 songwriters and composers entered this years contest.

The judges Lior, Mia Dyson, Johannes Luebbers, James Blundell, Brooke McClymont, Cat Hope, Dan Zilber, Kevin Bennett, Leah Flanagan, John Ferris awarded the $15,000 prize to the artists from nie categories.

Jess Beck – Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander

Andrea Keller – Jazz

The APRA Professional Development Awards will be held next in 2019.
