Grace Jones has been added to the Vivid Live line-up for Sydney as part of Pav’s Modulations line-up.
Jones will play two shows for Vivid Live on May 31 and June 1 at Carriageworks.
The 66-year old icon was a model before signing with Island Records in 1977 and then delivering a string of the most potent dance beats of the early 80s including ‘Pull Up To The Bumper’ and ‘Slave To The Rhythm’ and covers of The Pretenders ‘Private Life’. Roxy Music’s ‘Love Is The Drug’ and the Aussie classic from Vanda & Young ‘Walking In The Rain’.
Jones has also had a presence on the big screen with movie roles in ‘Conan The Destroyer’ with Arnold Schwarnegger, with Roger Moore in the James Bond movie ‘A View To A Kill’ and with Eddie Murphy in ‘Boomerang’.
