Historic music photography by Henry Diltz and rock superstar Graham Nash will be on display next month in Sydney.
Nash, best known for his work in The Hollies and Crosby, Stills & Nash is also a renowned photographer.
Diltz captured a lot of those early Crosby, Stills & Nash images such as the group shot for the 1969 cover of their debut album (pictured).
The exhibition will take place at the Blender Gallery in Sydney from March 29 – April 21, 2012. Numbered and signed prints will be available for purchase including photos of Joni Mitchell taken by Nash. (Mitchell was the subject of CSN’s classic ‘Suite: Judy Blue Eyes’ and Nash’s girlfriend at the time.
Nash has exhibited his works around the world. He also recently curated the book ‘Taking Aim: Unforgettable Rock ‘n Roll Photographs’.
This exhibition is a rare, close-up view of music history in the making.
Blender Gallery hours are Tuesday-Friday 11am-6pm and Saturday 10am-6pm.
The gallery is at 16 Elizabeth St, Paddington in Sydney.
CSN will also perform at Bluesfest.
