Smoot was found dead on the band’s tour bus on November 3 as the band reached the Canadian border en-route to a performance.

Cory Smoot was the GWAR character Flattus Maximus for 10 years.

A statement from the family detailing the coroners report today confirms North Dakota coroner William Masselo stating, “We have finalized the autopsy report and death certificate. I have determined that Cory died from a coronary artery thrombosis brought about by his pre-existing coronary artery disease.”

GWAR will continue as a four piece band.
