Usher has delivered a trippy, slow-burning new tune, with assistance from super-producer Diplo.

The loverman actually snuck the tune out, titled ‘Climax’ on Valentine’s Day, appropriately.

Spin reports that it was co-written by Diplo, South Florida singer-songwriter Redd Stylez and Ariel Rechtshaid (who was the bassist for L.A. band Foreign Born and producer for Cass McCombs).

Diplo has said it’s “seriously the best record I’ve been part of” and described it on Twitter as a “Radiohead quietstorm”.

It’s a scattered, trippy tune, with Usher falsettoing over the top, like a more commercial Frank Ocean or Weeknd tune.

Spin go into paroxysms of analysis, but just have a listen below.
