Rapper Nelly has been detained after police found drugs and a loaded gun on his tour bus, it has been claimed.
The 37-year-old Grammy-winner, real name Cornell Iral Haynes, Jr., was detained in Texas on Wednesday night, TMZ reports.
Law enforcement sources tell the website his tour bus was stopped at a border patrol checkpoint in Sierra Blanca.
A police canine is said to have detected drugs in the vehicle.
Police found .64oz of heroin and over ten pounds of marijuana inside a large duffel bag, a source said.
A loaded .45 caliber pistol was also reportedly seized in the search.
The Hot in Herre hitmaker was riding the bus with six other people at the time.
All passengers were detained during the search.
Law enforcement sources said passenger Brian Keith Jones confessed the drugs and gun were his and was placed under arrest.
Nelly and the remaining passengers have since been released from custody.
The rapper’s spokesperson has not yet issued comment.
