Hundreds Arrested At Creamfields Festival Melbourne

Police arrested 200 music fans at the Creamfields music festival in Melbourne yesterday (April 28) in a mass crackdown for drugs and alcohol.

Sniffer dogs were used by Police to find various drugs including ecstasy, cocaine and cannabis. 180 men and 20 women were arrested, 175 of them for drugs.

One man was also taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital for a drug overdose.

This was the biggest Police raid ever on a music event in Melbourne. At previous festivals Stereosonic had 89 arrests, Future Music Festival had 45 and Big Day Out had 20.

David Guetta was the headline act for Creamfields 2012.
