The festival site posted the following on their site:

Jimmie Vaughan was admitted to Pomona Hospital Medical Center on January 23, 2013 with an acute myocardial infraction [sic] (Heart Attack). He had a coronary angioplasty and stent placement. He is still in the hospital but recovering and has been advised by his cardiologist to rest at home for a month. He regretfully had to cancel a scheduled trip to the Mahindra Blues Festival in Mumbai, India as a result.

Vaughan was scheduled to play at the festival with the Tilt-a-Whirl Band and vocalist Lou Ann Barton. He was replaced by Jimmy Thackery and the Drivers.

Jimmie is the brother of the late-Stevie Ray Vaughan and an original member of the Fabulous Thunderbirds.
