Australian rock legend Jimmy Barnes will attend the world premiere of his movie ‘Working Class Man’ in Melbourne this Thursday despite suffering an accident at a concert in Queensland on the weekend.

Jimmy was injured and suffered a deep cut and severe bruising after his lef went though a gap on stage at the Mount Isa Rodeo on Sunday night.

“It’s just a stage I’m going through,” Jimmy joked in a tweet today.

Despite the injury and a night in hospital Jimmy will be attending the “Jimmy Barnes: Working Class Boy” premiere at the Comedy Theatre in Melbourne on Thursday night.

The movie is premiering during the Melbourne International Film Festival with Jimmy also participating in a Q&A.

“Jimmy Barnes: Working Class Boy” will have a general screening in Australian cinemas from Thursday, 23 August.

The soundtrack album has been released through Liberation Records’ Bloodlines label.

The Damned released the first ever UK punk single, “New Rose” off album Damned, Damned, Damned, in 1976, and were often overshadowed by their English punk counterparts. Now in their late sixties and still touring world-wide, featuring the original line up of Dave Vanian, Captain Sensible, Rat Scabies and Paul Gray, they are the ones having the last laugh and have left their old rivals for dead, in certain respects, quite literally!
