Buzz was also Jimmy’s manager.

Following Jimmy’s passing Buzz put these words together to remember Jimmy Little:

Dr. Jimmy Little AO was a genuine Australian music pioneer, consummate performer and entertainer, selfless humanitarian and a dear friend of mine.
He regarded Kay, Max and I as family and that meant a lot to us. We will miss him dearly as I know you all will but I know he starts his next adventure having given everything he could in this life to help those on earth who were less fortunate than him.

I will miss his enthusiasm for the Foundation’s work and the sparkle in his eye when he was about to say something profound. His sense of humour was as keen as his appetite but recently he had taken his own advice from the Uncle Jimmy Thumbs up! program and made a huge effort to eat good food and undertake regular exercise to help build up his stamina. There were plans for new recordings, more work with the Foundation and recently he wrote a strong worded letter to the Government to register his protest at the proposed “Stronger Futures” bill before the house.

His daughter Frances said he had told her many times that he was very happy and content with his situation, loved the house he was living in and was looking forward to the rest of his life, however long that might be. Jimmy’s energy was contagious and his wisdom deep.

His words were always considered and never empty. If he didn’t have something to say he was silent.

Fortunately there is a huge legacy of music to remember him by and hours of video footage that will eventually make a wonderful tribute to his life.

Goodbye little Kuncus you made the world a better place and changed my life forever.
