Joan Armatrading To Tour The World Last Time

Joan Armatrading plans to quit touring after one final worldwide tour that will bring her to Australia in December.

63-year old Joan says, “with my final major tour, I want to capture a unique memory for both myself and the audience.”

Over the past 40 years Joan Armatrading has recorded 18 studio albums.

The three-time Grammy nominee’s biggest hit was ‘Drop The Pilot’ (no. 6, 1983 Australia). It was her only top 10 song anywhere in the world.

In the UK ‘Show Some Emotion’ (1977), ‘Me Myself I’ (1980), ‘Walk Under Ladders’ (1981) and ‘The Key’ (1983) were all number one albums.
