John Farnham has proven he still has pulling power with his second headliner for Red Hot Summer selling out for January.

When tickets for the first Mornington Red Hot Summer went on sale they sold out in 6 minutes.

John Farnham will headline the Red Hot Summer dates for Mannum, Mornington, Ballarat, Port Macquarie, Sandstone Point, Dubbo and Kiama from January 14 through to March 18, 2017.

“John played One Electric Day for me in Werribee in November 2015. The setlist opened with ‘Age of Reason’ and ended with his AC/DC cover ‘It’s a Long Way To The Top’. In between, all 8000 fans in the audience new every word to every song. Taking that experience around Australia with John on Red Hot Summer will be a career highlight for me”, Regional Touring’s Duane McDonald told Noise11.com. “I am so thankful to John, Glenn Wheatley, The Premier Harbour Agency and all the acts on the tour that have had the faith in me and given me the opportunity to bring this show to the fans”.

John Farnham will headline shows with James Reyne, Daryl Braithwaite, Shannon Noll and Taxiride.

James Taylor Farewells Australia With Final Tour (Melbourne Review)

I could go to a James Taylor show just for the stories. The man is a part of music history and is still around to tell the tales of how it all began. Like, for instance, being the first artist signed to Apple Records. James “auditioned” for Apple with his song ‘Something In The Way She Moves’. "Paul went away and started the label and George went away and wrote the song”, he said.
