Judas Priest will mark the 30th anniversary of the Defenders of the Faith album with a deluxe edition in March.
Judas Priest were on a real roll in the early-80’s with the albums British Steel, Point of Entry and Screaming For Vengeance coming out in just over a two year period. They kept the momentum going in 1984 with the release of ninth studio album, Defenders of the Faith.
Faith went platinum in the U.S. on the strength of the three singles, Freewheel Burning, Some Heads Are Going to Roll and Love Bites. The album peaked at number 18 in the U.S. and 19 in the U.K.
On March 10, Columbia/Legacy will release a new, expanded, version of the album that contains remastered versions of the tracks by original producer Tom Allom along with a complete, 21-song show from the Long Beach Arena in Long Beach, CA during the Defenders of the Faith Tour.
