Kelly Clarkson is a married woman.
The former American Idol released a photo of her wedding on her Facebook page today.
The singer sparked speculation she was planning to wed fiancé Brandon Blackstock after obtaining a license on Tuesday. The document allows people 30 days to get married from the date of issue, so it became clear the ceremony was likely to take place imminently.
It is believed the wedding took place at Blackberry Farm, a luxury resort in the Smoky Mountains in Walland, Tennessee.
A re-tweet posted by Kelly fan Annelise Rosette heightened the rumours.
‘RT:@ReneeBeranek Kelly Clarkson got married at Blackberry Farm today.. My sister is a chef at Blackberry Farms… CRAZY!” read the message.
The 31-year-old American Idol winner recently confirmed she was planning to wed soon, but revealed she had scrapped plans for an elaborate ceremony.
“OK, this is why it’s confusing,” she explained. “I’m not married yet, because we had a wedding planned, like a huge one – and we still have a wedding planned, but we’re not doing the big huge one.”
A representative for the singer is yet to comment on the wedding reports and no other details about the nuptials are currently known.
Kelly has also said she is eager to start a family with Brandon.
“We’re getting married soon – like really soon – and I already told him that when we’re past the wedding, I want a baby,” Kelly told Access Hollywood. “I was like, ‘That’s my Christmas present that you can give me.’ ”
Brandon proposed in December last year and the pair have been together since February 2012.
