Kim Wilde To Play First US Show Since 1987

by Paul Cashmere on February 5, 2019

in News

Kim Wilde is heading back to the USA to play her first show since 1987.

Kim will be part of the Like Totally Festival at Huntington Beach, California on 11 May 2019.

Not playing America for over 30 years is indeed ironic considering Kim’s first hit in the USA (and everywhere else) was ‘Kids In America’.

Despite having 20 Top 40 hits in the UK, the USA was a patchy territory for Kim. She would only have one more hit in the USA. ‘You Keep Me Hanging On’ reached number one in America for Kim Wilde in 1986.

The Like Totally Festival will also feature Public Image Ltd, The Romantics, ABC’s Martin Fry, Greg Kihn, B-Movie, Animotion, Richard Page of Mister Mister, Nick Richards of Boys Don’t Cry and Reflexx.
