Kimbra will release a deluxe edition of her new album ‘The Golden Echo’ featuring three tracks that will not be available on the standard edition.
‘The Golden Echo’ is Kimbra’s second album and the follow-up to ‘Vows’ from 2011. ‘Vows’ was a hit record for Kimbra reaching no. 14 on the Billboard album chart.
Kimbra also was involved in the generation of the Grammy Award winning song ‘Somebody That I Used To Know’ with Gotye. It earned Gotye and Kimbra ‘Record of the Year’ and ‘Song of the Year’ at the Grammy Awards and was the biggest selling song of 2012 in America.
‘The Golden Echo’ will include the track ‘As Your Are’ with a string arrangement by Van Dyke Parks (The Beach Boys, Silverchair). Silverchair’s Daniel Johns will also guest on the album.
The bonus tracks on the record are ‘Slum Love’, ‘Sugar Lies’ and ‘The Magic Hour’. They will feature special guests The Mars Volta’s Omar Rodriguez-Lopez,and Jonas Bjerre of Danish band Mew.
Kimbra – The Golden Echo will be released on August 19.
