Kiss And Def Leppard Kick Off US Tour

KISS and Def Leppard opened their forty city co-headlining tour on Monday night at the USANA Amphitheatre in Salt Lake City with pyrotechnics, special effects and good old rock and roll.

Def Leppard opened the night with a Hysteria heavy set, performing six of the twelve tracks from the 1987 album. The crowd also got three songs each from Pyromania and High ‘n’ Dry. Absent was any music from the last twenty years.

KISS, on the other hand, dug deep in their catalog for a couple of songs not usually in their set list including the opener, King of the Night Time World, which they used as an opener for the first time in five years. The band also gave the only nod to any music from the last two decades with 1998’s Psycho Circus.

Australia’s The Dead Daisies will join the Kiss and Def Leppard tour in August.
